Today I Declare My Independence!
Updated: Oct 29, 2020
I declare independence from the dreary and aimless prison I have been wasting away in for the past 3 months. I declare stepping outside of my comfort zone and moving forward with a courageous heart. So, I am starting this site. For a proper introduction, let's begin with explaining the why behind this new venture.
It is a scary and confusing time for many of us thanks to Covid-19, riots, murder hornets, "flying snakes", confirmation of UFO's. I know there is more insanity to add to circus that is 2020, but I'll let you fill in the blanks on this one (or we can pretend like the first half of the year didn't happen all together!). For the first time in 16 years, I find myself without a job.
Don't get me wrong, I was not unproductive in those three months. Not in any particular order, here is how I've spent quarantine:
Rehabbed 2 adorable Easter Gray Squirrels
Earned a Wildlife and Forestry Conservation Certificate
Earned a Wildlife Rehab Certificate
Bought a 1 foot plot of land in Scotland and became a Lady
Became a Wellness Coach with Kilo Fit
Earned my Life Coaching Certificates in the areas focusing in Goal Success, Happiness, Life Purpose, Mindfulness, Forgiveness, and Therapeutic Art
Biked over 200 miles
Rediscovered my passion for DSL photography
Started attending Adoration every week
Became a OHVA Learning Coach for my son who is attending 7th grade at an online public school
Participated in a Welcome Retreat and gave a Reconciliation witness
Taking my 107 Unmanned Pilot Certification for the License VERY soon to fly drones commercially
Getting my Master Herpetologist Certification and Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist
Opened an Etsy store selling resin art and stickers designed by me :)
Starting a podcast with my siren sisters
Each respectively are pretty cool accomplishments, but then I am left with an overwhelming sense of now what? Has the time come to figure out what I want to be when I grow up? It's been a full time job scouring the Internet trying to figure out what to apply for. Some of the more random things that I applied for is a Catholic Online School Teacher, Women's Help Center Advocate, Drone Photographer, Naturalist, Employment Coach- just to name a few. Sometimes, I feel like a Jack of all trades and it hard land on just one area to focus on.
So, to be honest, I don't ever want to "grow up". I want to be continually learning and trying new things. I am going to do just that and document my journey along the way. Training to become a coach sparked the idea of a starting a blog. To be honest, I was intimidated by it. What would I even talk about? Brainstorming ideas I came up with my 4 C's- conservation, crafts, care, and Christ. Yet again, I couldn't land on just one topic. Why not all of them? They make me complete. They give me confidence and courage. I think it could help others too and I am excited to share this journey with y'all!
Welcome to Complete Courage!
